Is Fergatory Finished?

I hopped in all by myself

“I hopped in all by myself, Mummy! Wanna see that again? Eh? Do ya?”

We have passed the the Magic Mark of 24 hours with NO, I say NO Fergus barfs!!!!!!

I am so not cool.

And I SO don’t care!

The vet just called and E.g. gave him the Fergress report. We have been feeding Fergus his day’s rations in one-sixteenths, every hour on the half-hour, beginning at 5 30 yesterday morning. He threw up at noon. There was a piece of pine cone in it. Since then, his energy level is up, he hasn’t had a bloated tummy, he wasn’t sick in his crate all night, and he’s been full of spunk and vinegar all morning. The vet heartily approved of Fergus’s conduct, and said we could try feeding him double portions every two hours this aft and see how it goes.

Still not cool.

Still don’t care.

It does, doesn’t it, Goodbear? Cai is so-o happy to be playing with Fergus again — especially today, which has been steadily raining since 2 a.m. It’s 8 pm now, and still no spluts.

I’ve been singing “Hap-py dog-gies NOW!” in the style of a TV show intro (y’know, Bugs Bunny and the tux fellas singing “We’re the boys of the chorus…” ) . I’m amazed how much MY mood has improved!
Maybe Chris’s thought about “turpentine” was pretty valid too, I wonder… Fergus’s belly hasn’t been gurgling since he threw that last pine cone bit of yesterday, even if it was as small as the others.

Glad to hear he’s feeling better! It’s a stressful time when a pet is sick, no matter what they’re sick with.

    You said it, Themarvelousinnature! Thanks!

  8. Alyson says:

Yay Fergus! Stuff the cool, bring on the non-pinecone celebration!

Thanks, Alyson! A day without paper towels is like a day without the Slough of Despond.
