Looks like a space creature gnashing its teeth. Or is that a gummy smile from the veggy equivalent of the Cheshire cat?

  2. lavenderbay says:

I think it’s a tomato trying on its Hallowe’en costume. It’s going out as a watermelon.

  3. It looks almost like a mini-watermelon.

  4. I was going to say what Dennis said. So…ditto.

  5. lavenderbay says:

If it looks like a watermelon, and acts like a watermelon, and everybody says it’s a watermelon…a gummy, Cheshire space villain has us exactly where it wants us!!!

  6. Tony says:

I for one welcome our watermelon tomatoey space creature overlords. Ha I finally beat Dennis to say that

  7. lavenderbay says:

First our carrots, then our tomatoes…did you ever find gardening to be so risky, Tony?

  8. Tony says:

I am not looking forward to my veggie garden harvest so much now AAAIIIEEEEE!!!!!

  9. Tony says:

My tombstone will say. “He was such a quiet man. He never saw that corn cob coming”

  10. lavenderbay says:

Oh, for the love of Cob, Tony! (*giggle*)

  11. lolarusa says:

Very interesting. We were just discussing whether or not tomatoes ripen more quickly with or without light. Clearly light is not essential for ripening (or at least not for reddening).

  12. lavenderbay says:

Or do the Sun’s lightwaves behave like a microwave oven, cooking from the inside out?
Or is my assumption about microwave ovens wrong too?
Glad I could help, Lolarusa! 😉
