For some reason, this reminds me of the surfer dude turtle from “Finding Nemo” … must be its laid-back expression.

    nice avocado placement:

no puedo creer cómo es grande es mi aguacate

He does look calm, doesn’t he, James?

No es el aguacate que es grande, Bueno-Oso, pero es la tortuga que es muy pequena (y muy linda) .
Guacamole and tortilla chips for supper tonight!

    Another turtle! 😀

Okay, I’m in. Only, ….. Lo siento. No hablo español. Una pequeña tortuga, quizás. Pero no español.

    (muchas gracias Babel Fish)

Alto! Yo tambien, no hablo espanol! Time for all little turtles and big avocados to go to bed. Sweet dreams! Dulces suenos, Senor Gato Anciano!

  7. Aww, what a sweet souvenir. (But then I’m partial to turtles.)

Gorgeous Spanish turtle. At first glance I thought she / he had an Easter egg on its back.

  9. lavenderbay says:

Possibly in order to prevent another contest, when Jane handed me the souvenir she said, “His name is Manuel.” Manuel from Mijas — a good mnemonic. That makes four turtles now: Seamus and little Sweetgrass from Canada, Manuel from Spain, and Isabella from I-don’t-know-where, but I’m guessing the Caribbean. I’m going to have to start looking for turtle T-shirts, because we don’t have enough windowsills.
